The RDB2RDF Working Group of the W3C, a team was set up, whose job it is a language for mapping relational data
to standardize and relational database schemas into RDF and OWL. It will develop a new language, which is called RDB2RDF mapping language (R2RML).
This language is just one of many that the term Semantic Web are linked. The creation of the Working Group based on the work of an earlier W3C Incubator Group in this area.
. The mapping of relational data for the Semantic Web meets with increasing interest. Here, relational data is mapped to other formats, transformed or combined with other data,
provided to the enterprise data integration with semantics.
